PRESS RELEASE For more information contact:
Lake Superior State University and Alpena Community College made official an articulation agreement that will allow a graduate from ACC's two-year Concrete Technology degree to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration through Lake Superior State University's off-site program in Alpena. There are three options to the articulation. The various options give the students flexibility in course work depending upon their mathematical skill level and where they complete their summer construction co-op. Option one and two are designed to be completed in two additional years from the Concrete Technology (AAS) degree. Option three allows for less of a course load and the BSBA from Lake Superior State University can be completed in three additional years. All course work can be completed in its entirety at the LSSU-Alpena site. Classes will be held in the new World Center for Concrete Technology. These articulations will allow students attending the World Center for Concrete Technology an option to pursue an advanced degree. It may also serve to meet the educational demands of the international market. Ongoing discussions are underway between LSSU-ACC and concrete industry representatives to pursue additional degree completion opportunities including an advanced degree in the engineering area. For more information, contact Kelly Smith, Director, LSSU - Alpena at (517) 356-9021 ext. 302.
