information contact: New Master Blockmakers™ The number of Master Blockmakers continues to increase as more Blockmaker Workshops® are completed at the new World Center for Concrete Technology in Alpena, Michigan.
Kenneth Wicker (pictured right) of Tarmac America in Melbourne, Florida earned Master Blockmaker certification after completing the Product Handling workshop in October.
Robert Williams (pictured left) of Prairie Central in Decatur, Illinois also attended the Product Handling workshop in October. This course was his final requirement for earning Master Blockmaker certification.
Blockmakers Workshops originated in 1954 to assist in developing qualified professionals in the concrete products industry. The workshops are a joint partnership between the new World Center for Concrete Technology, Alpena Community College and the Besser Family of Companies. All Master Blockmakers have successfully completed five predetermined courses that prepare each individual in the efficient and effective production of quality concrete products.
