The Best Way to Split Return Corners

Splitting return corners? What is the best way?

May we suggest using a mold with three 8" (200 mm) and splitting off a stringer with the larger splitter (S63) A , then splitting the return corner with the Quiksplit II B. This allows the Quiksplit to split the 16" (400 mm) face.

Another way is to make a thicker than 2" (50 mm) end slab. This will assure a good end split. It has been our experience that trying to split a 2 x 8 x 8 end face will not give satisfactory results.

If you are running an end split, where you throw away a 2" (50 mm) slab, you might try splitting the throw-away with the S63 A and the 16" (400 mm) length on the Quiksplit II B, you will probably need a turntable for this.
