Power Outages
If you have a power outage in
your plant, manually power off all equipment. The reason for this is when the
power is restored, the highest current is drawn, and lowest voltage, which will
damage your equipment.
Allowing approximately five
minutes after the power is reinstated will allow time for the power to stabilize
and decrease chances of the power going out again. This low voltage will make
the amperage surge and that is what damages your equipment.
This is a good example that
waiting a few minutes extra can save you money in the long run.
